FAQs
Is there a minimum training requirement?
Yes all students must do at least 8 hours of training. Premier customers can purchase the online training or the study guide which meets the 8 hour study requirement.
Do I have to register with the Louisiana Department of Health after I pass my exam?
Yes. Once you have completed your training and passed your food safety exam, please complete the FSC Application form. You will need to provide a copy of your food safety certificate and a check for $25 payable to the Department of Health and Hospitals (D.H.H.).
Can I take the food safety exam online at home?
Yes! The ServSafe Exam is now available online. Our packages allow you to schedule the exam for the date and time of your choice and connect with a ProctorU live proctor who will administer the exam remotely.
How do I renew my certificate?
To renew your certificate, you must take the food safety certification exam once again and pay the $25 application fee to the Health Department.
